I've just set up some new (Dell) PCs running XP Pro with all the latest patches, except XP SP2. I then installed Office 2002 (both with and without all the Office patches). I set Outlook up to connect to an Exchange 2000 server, but it seems to crash when I try to access the global address book. (eg when I try to check names or open the address book). The server is Exchange 2000 SP1 running on W2K SP4.

I have some W2K PCs running Office 2002 OK (ie no Outlook problems).

Any clues? I will try patching the Exchange server to SP3 to see if that will help.

try checking out the even viewer to see if anything was logged during the crash. This is where i would start.

I don't think anything gets written to the Event Logs. I'll check again tomorrow though.
