This may seem like a stupid question but I cant figure it. I have public folders in Outlook 2002 which are available to everybody on my network, I have just created a company-wide contacts folder inside the public folder so that all company contacts can be stored and are accessible by everybody. However before this everybody simply stored contacts in their personal contacts folder and some store alot of contacts so to re-enter them would be a pain, i wish to export the contacts from each users personal folder and import them into the company-wide contacts folder in the public folders.

I tried to do this by exporting the personal contacts to a .csv file then tried to import them into the public folder but when i did this the only folders I could import into where my own personal ones not the public one. I have owner permissions on the company-wide contacts folder so i dont know what to do.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have you tried exporting them to a *.pst and then importing them straight into public folders?
