Outlook 2000 Runtime error

I have a Windows XP Professional machine with Office 2000 installed,Outlook works normally until I close it, then I get 2 errors, one after the other,
error 1
Microsoft Visual CC+ runtime library
Runtime error
Program: C:\Program files\Office\Outlook.exe
Abnormal program termination
Click OK

This brings up Error message 2;

DDS Server Window Outlook.exe
Application error
The instruction at 0x3a4b81ee
referenced memory at
0x016e2ee8
the memory could not be read
click OK to terminate

I am using Outlook to get my mail from a network pop3 server, there are no plugins or macros

Has anybody come across this error?

I solved the problem!

There was an application called Plaxo in the add/remove programs list, I removed this and the error went away, The Odd thing is; Outlook 2000 ran perfectly until it was shut down,
