Outlook 2000 "Find" not displaying all messages

Outlook 2000's Find feature is no longer displaying all relevant messages, unless first previewed. This includes searches for sender name and subject.

The server is Courier-IMAP. Client is WinXP.

Suggestions? Requests for more info?
