Hi,
Here's the story, and hopefully you can help out:
We have a small office (8 users) and the person who did the computer stuff set us up on a "mailserver" (actually it was an NT server running windows messaging to a desktop running outlook with a bunch of forwarding rules)... realizing this wasn't ideal we've since moved to straight pop accounts through our ISP. Everything was working fine, until someone deleted the Windows messaging from the Add/remove programs. This was linked to their outlook settings somehow and their profile was deleted as well.
We were able to get them a new profile, but to get their old e-mail we'd have to use their .pst file. Which wouldn't be a problem except they had a password associated with it and have no idea what it was. the person who used to deal with the computers has since left the company, but even when called she didn't know the password.
Is there anything out there, tricks, tips, tools, that would help bypass the .pst password? Any help would be appreciated... the user is quite upset that they can't get to their old e-mail.
thanks
