Outlook 2000 Problem

I have user who is experiencing an Outlook problem. Before sending a new email, he selects Options - Save Sent Message To and selects a subfolder in which he would to have the message filed under. The message will send; however, the message will be filed under the Outbox instead of the subfolder he selects. The message does send to the sender and he is not using offline email (disabled via policy)...he is connected and live to our Exchange server. I'm trying to figure out why the message is filed under the Outbox instead of the subfolder he selects. Has anyone experienced this issue...we've come up empty search MS knowledge base since it's not an offline email issue.

Thanks in advance

The subfolder specified must be a folder that is the type that can contain email messages (in other words, not a "Notes", "Calendar", "Contacts", etc.) and must be a subfolder of the main default .pst. I have Outlook 2000, on an Exchange 2000 server, and it works as long as I specify the right type of folder. Good luck.
