Outlook 2000: multiple mail notification windows?

We are running MS Outlook 2000 on Windows 2k SP4 and have a user who gets multiple notifications of new mail messages. That is, multiple icons in his system tray.

Any idea what might be causing this or how to correct it? I already tried recreating his account.

Did you run Detect and Repair from the help menu?
