Outlook 2000 is slow to recieve email from Exchange

I have an Outlook 2k client and exchange 5.5 server running on NT4. when someone sends me email, exchange will not display it in my inbox. Outlook will just sit there doing nothing until i click on another email in the inbox... then all the messages I just recieved suddenly appear. Only one computer on the entire network has this problem. any thoughts are appreciated.
