Outlook 2000 hangs... 1.13gb .pst is the prob...

can't set my personal folders to read my c:/mydocuments/kpunches.pst.

The file is only 1.13gb (out of a max of 2gb) so I don't think it's the inherant "over the limit" lock out.

I've tried scanpst.ext and it's went through all 8 stages, turned up errors in the .pst and then it hung when I hit "repair"...

I'm looking at 2gbpst.exe just in case that's the problem and will attempt it shortly...

Any other recommendations if this fails to truncate?

officerecovery.com offers a tool for sale that can also repair PST files. There is a trial version as well.

Are you certain that you let scanpst.exe run long enough as it can take a while to run at times. joegz
