I'm having a problem with a user's account which I can't resolve. (nb Outlook 2000. Win Pro OS)

The users account appears to have a mail which is blocking his system. E-mails are unable to download to Outlook.

I receive error message 0x800ccc13. As this appeared to be a TCP/IP error I set his account up on a different machine but still the error arises.

All other accounts are fine and TCP/IP activity over the network and for his machine is ok.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Any solutions?

What version of Exchange are you using? Do you know anything about this email that is blocking? Do you know the size? How old it is?

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

If all other network activity behaves normally, I suggest re-installing/repairing Outlook Express. You may need to do this through a repair installation of Internet Explorer. Then, you will probably need to reset Outlook as your default mail client.

I'm using Outlook 2000 picking up mail direct via POP3 - not using Exchange.

Have tried the repair tool. No luck.

You mean you tried to WinSock repair tool?

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.
