Outlook 2000 downloading msg's settings

Currently my WIN2K, Office 2K PC displays the number of messages incoming when I send/rcv mail. I have seen it where it displays the size of incoming mails (e.g. downloading messages, 40KB of 250KB rcvd, shows progress bar). I would like to have Outlook display the size progress, not the quantity. So far my efforts to find the answer has failed. If anyone knows how to accomplish this, please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.
