Outlook 2000 running on Windows 2000 Professional. When I open Outlook and click on "Send & Receive" my dial-up connection is immediately disconnected.
In Tools/Options/Mail Delivery the box that says "hang up when finished sending, receiving or updating" is not checked.
This behavior just started when I had to temporarily switch mail accounts due to exceeding my monthly hourly quota. I had to implement a different phone number and outgoing mail server, but other than that, nothing else changed.I don't recollect making any other item changes.
Tech support at the ISP says its an Outlook issue.
I've been through just about every menu item I can find and have no clue.
I have been able to access my e-mail by using Outlook Express, which has no disconnection problem, but all of my saved correspondence is in Outlook as is my address book.
Any suggestions?
