My parent's hard drive bit the dust. I have been able to access the files on it via an external usb adapter. I have been able to restore most of their files, but i don't know where their contacts ended up. They used Outlook 2000 to access their comcast.net email account. I've never used outlook without an exchange server. Any help would be appreciated.

Typically you'll find a .pst file which has all their messages, contacts, etc. in

'C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\backup.pst'

Username would be whatever username they set up when they first bought/set up their computer.

Hmmm... I restored those files using Data File Management, but it didn't restore the contacts. I'll keep playing with it.
