Outlook 2000 Auto Archiving

Hi everyone,

I look after a small network of 22 PCs, all running Office 2000.

One of my colleages has started having problems with AutoArchive. It comes up "the operation failed". I have checked the location for archiving exists, which it does. I have also found a archive.pst file there with a file of the correct date, so it looks like it works. But when I try and do a test restore there's nothing in it!

What other things can I try?

You may have already tried this but...Turn off AutoArchiving, Go to File->Archive->Select his mailbox and the date->Verify the location where you want to Archive to. Then click on OK.

Does it still fail after that?

I'll check with my colleague to see if manual archiving works.

Not sure what you mean about "date" in your message. Please clarify.

Sorry, I mean to select the date from the 'Archive items older than' drop down box.
