I have a couple of machines with Outlook 2000 and a laptop with Outlook 2002. Until recently all had been working perfectly and now these computers started hanging when the program is opened. After a substantial pause they resume working until you close the program and open it up again. I have many other computers on the same network and none are experiencing the same symptoms. I did have to combat the Blaster worm a few weeks ago and it caused problems with the computers connecting to our Exchange server, but after installing service packs and running clean up utilities the problems stopped. I've tried re-installing Outlook on the problem computers to no avail. I read somewhere that Outlook does a scan of itself upon opening and if there are problems it writes it to a log that causes the splash screen to hang temporarily. Is there anything I can do to stop this problem?
Thanks in advance for any advice to my problem
