I have an issue that is driving me crazy. I recently purchased a new laptop for my wife which runs XP. We loaded an old copy of Outlook 2000 on the system. Every time she clicks "send/receive" outlook makes her enter her name and password. We tried checking the box which says "remember password" over and over again, but it never remembers her password. I've also gone under tools/acounts/properties and entered her password there and checked "remember password," but it doesn't stick. I click "ok," close it out, open it back up and there's no password listed.

Obviously I am missing something here. Is there another setting somewhere that I need to select? You can imagine how frustrating it is to have to enter you password every time you want to check your email.

Hi. I have exactly the same problem. I followed the instruction, but it didn't work. When I check the box "Repleace permission entries..." and click apply, the check mark goes away! Then, on the registry, I can't find a user subkey folder something like "S-1-5-21-124525095-...". That is, I can't change anything!

I log in as an administrator.

What is wrong?

Thanks.
