Outlook 200 Error 1

Why do I constantly get the Outlook erro message:

The operation was cancelled. (account: 'pop-server.kc.rr.com', Pop3 server; pop-server.kc.rr.com', Error: Ox800ccc17).

How do I correct the error? It's the first thing I see when I launch Outlook and many times e-mail is opened.

Are you a system administrator, if not, contact your administrator if this is a business. Its not connecting to the mail server, you need to verify that your user name, password, and server name are correct. You can correct the settings in Tools>Accounts.

I am the Administrator, the username is the one given me by RoadRunner, Password is correct and the server name is the one given by RoadRunner. I still get the mail delivery error message everyday everytime I check for new mail. I get my mail, but I also get this error message (Ox800ccc17).

Any other suggestions?

That message isn't as useful as the text in the message. I assume it is still an operation cancelled. Can you ping pop-server.kc.rr.com? I get 4 replies here, if you don't get the same, then you have a connection issue. If you do get 4 replies, go to Tools>Accounts, remove the mail account, and recreate it. Also, you might try it on another computer, and even call tech support if you have to.

I get 4 replies also; however, RoadRunner does not support Outlook. It does support Outlook Express. I will keep trying.

E-mail operation cancelled. How? I didn't and the email error message has been there for months now. But it seems my e-mail is working fine. I get messages daily and I'm able to send, but I must do send/receive to get messages. i can't get support from RoadRunner because they support Outlook Express only. what's a guy to do?
