Hi, sometimes that's a connectivity or communication issue to your provider and not an outlook issue. A way to test it is to setup a new (different name) occurance of that account, with the same userid and password. Use the account setup wizard and execute the "test settings" option. If you get the same results (it asks you for the password again), either you have duplicated the setup mistake (not likely since this account was working) or it's an "external to Outlook" problem. good luck ---Will
