I have a user who says that every once in a great while some of her sent items get deleted automatically. She doesn't have auto archieve enabled and there are no rules. She is running Office XP and using Exchange 2000. Has anyone run into this situation because i can't find anything of this.

I suspect there's a domain/group policy that purges items from the Sent Items folder when they are older than a certain set amount of time, or when the total size of the mailbox exceeds the maximum allowed size. You should check the group policies on the Exchange server to verify this.

I looked at the group policies and I cannot find any reference to purge items in the sent items. Also, there are other people who have more email in their account than this person. We do have email limits that once over the limit you will not be able to sent. This person is not over the limit yet.
