OutlkXPPro cannot delete message in inbox

Dear Greater I.T. intellect,

I have a user that is using:

WinXPPRO
OffXPPRO

His issue is dealing w/ his Outlkxppro app. The user's email resides on the exchange server. The user has received a message from a credible listserv. The message was displayed via preview pane, but there was no content in the body. Upon trying to open, delete, move, archive this item, Outlook errors out. Error reflects something along the lines of 'message cannot be deleted', 'message cannot be moved'.

Pls. help?

Resolution has been achieved on this issue. After doing the following to no avail:

Delete Temp Files
Delete Cookies
Detete Temporary Internet Files
Resetting and mirroring security, content, and advanced settings in I.E.
Verifying Date/Time
Verifying 128 Bit Encryption
Checking firewalls and antivirus apps.
Windows XP System File Checker
Verifying MS Cyrptographic Service is started
Virus scan
Tracking, Malicious cookies scan

The only thing that worked was registering the following .dll files:

softpub.dll
wintrust.dll
initpki.dll (this took a little while to register. Don't be concerned if the 'succeeded' message does not appear right away)
dssenh.dll
rsaenh.dll
gpkcsp.dll
sccbase.dll
slbcsp.dll
cryptdlg.dll
