Hi Everyone,
I have searched across this site and google search and cant (or probably don't understand) how to configure our IPO 500v2 to have an extension use a specific number to dial out on. For example, I would like extension 2001 to dial out on 2221237007. This number is one of a block of 40 numbers we have from telco provider.
Our System is an IPO 500v2 on R9.1. Handsets are 9611Gs. Telco handoff is a T-1 PRI with all 23 channels open to us but we have 40 numbers on that circuit that dial into us.

If i need any more info to pass on please let me know and i am more than happy to.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Put a shortcode on the user to push out that caller ID. For example, it might be 9N with telephone number of 9NSi2221237007. The "Si" portion tells it to push out that caller ID. Your carrier must also allow you to control caller ID or they will override whatever you put in there. Also you could set that in an ARS table if you wanted.

Hi IPOTek,
Thank you for the response. I did as you stated and added that shortcode to the user and that did not display the 2221237007 on the Caller ID on the other end. So i am assuming that I have the issue of the telco doing an override of the Caller ID. Now I have another question...in the IPO, how would i verify that the system is attempting to use that number to dial out on. So because we have a block of 40 numbers (2221237000-7039), I want to ensure and verify that each extension is truly using their respective number and not just passing on a Caller ID that is being setup.

If what i am trying to accomplish is supposed to be in the ARS table, could you provide a bit of guidance on how to do it. I am a bit new to the IPO and plan on taking training courses and becoming Avaya certified but I need to get this fixed fairly quickly for work.
Thank you again in advance.

Launch System Status, go to the PRI, click on Trace Call, and place a test call. Look at the trace for Called Number and Calling Number.

Usually by default the ipo will send out the DDI number for each user that's has been allocated a number,

To prevent this go to the Ars table and insert the outgoing Id off the main number as a short code like n ns2221237000 as main number.

So in your case this will have been done already to send out the main number.
Delete the short code...this should stop the main number being sent out.

If it's not in the Ars in may be in the main system short code under 9.

Hope this helps

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the info. Was able to take a look at everything today since i just returned from vacation. First off the trace i did for the PRI had the following result:
3/13/17 1:10:42 PM-789ms Line = 13, Channel = 1, Q.931 Message = Setup, Call Ref = 32891, Direction = From Switch, Calling Party Number = 7007, Called Party Number = 3338881234

So i am assuming that what is showing above is correct as it is using the 7007 to send to the telco equipment. Just on the other end of the call (my cell phone) it shows the main number 2221237000. This confirms what DaIPOTek stated in my telco doing an override for the caller ID.

As for the ARS table, i do not have a shortcode like ns2221237000 or anything under 9. Here is what i have on the ARS table:

11 911 dial emergency 5
911 911 dial emergency 5
0XXXXXXXX 190N dial3K1 5
1XXXXXXXX 191N dial3K1 5
2XXXXXXXX 192N dial3K1 5
3XXXXXXXX 193N dial3K1 5
4XXXXXXXX 194N dial3K1 5
5XXXXXXXX 195N dial3K1 5
6XXXXXXXX 196N dial3K1 5
7XXXXXXXX 197N dial3K1 5
8XXXXXXXX 198N dial3K1 5
XXXXXXXXXX 1N dial3K1 5
1XXXXXXXXXX 1N dial3K1 5
N N dial3K1 5
222XXXXXXX 222N dial3K1 5
1222XXXXXXX 222N dial3K1 5

Considering what Snowman said above, I am assuming that my ARS table is correct in not sending out the main number but confirms that my telco is doing an override regardless of the number attempting to be sent.

Thank you again for your help so far.

Calling Party Number = 7007

Your're not sending a valid telephone number, thus the telephone company is replacing with your main number.

You're dialing from Ext. 7007? Is there an Incoming Call Route to Ext. 7007, that includes all 10 digits of the incoming number? (even if you are only receiving just 4 digits from the phone company). If so, that should automatically be pushed out the DID as the CID.

Otherwise, you could copy and paste that ARS table, add S2221237007 after each number to be dialed to the line group.
You'll have to change the User short codes to go to the new ARS table. From the patterns I see, you're using Kyle Holladay's method of allowing log and app dialing.
