Hi

I have an CM 6.3 configured with sip trunk for outgoing call over pstn. Afert a hard fight with session manager an adaptation module, inbound and outbound call finnaly work fine. My last issue is about outgoing CLID.

I used the private numbering to display the main number and it's working but the display info I receve on my cell have also the name party of the station and I would like to remove it..

SO, when I dial out I receive "lastname, name@npanxxxxxx".

How I can remove the lastname, name information?

For outgoing call, I use the DigitConversionAdtation module, parameter=name value, value=odstd/domain.local

Should I work with the digit convertion for incoming to SM just below this setting in the adaptation page..?

Thanks

Perhaps build a different trunk to SM from CM for PSTN calls, and set send name to no?

Thanks Kyle.

There are no 'send name' option in the sip trunk.

I changed this option in the system p feature but same thing. ''USNI Calling Name for Outgoing Calls? n ''

As I say, it's maybe in the adaptation page. I tried many things an nothing work. Or provider side?

Maybe I'm looking too far..

I continue searching...

I think you're entirely right. Sorry to send you searching through trunk groups for nothing.

I recall something about a SIP trunking customer on CM that needed to have a manipulation rule in an SBC to override calling party name being from "name on station" to "company". And the SIP trunk and sig groups don't have the option to conceal that stuff. In PRI you could override with a company/trunk group/system name atop calling party number. In SIP, it seems that is more of a challenge. Unless anyone knows otherwise, I believe you may be stuck manipulating headers which is a function of an SBC. SM is not intended to have the flexibility to edit SIP headers on the fly as you please. It'll manipulate digits and SIP domains, but it is beyond its scope to change contents of SIP messages at a more granular level. Maybe your provider can make that change for you if you just want number and no name, or maybe you can make that change in an SBC if you happen to have one.

What is between your CM and the PSTN insofar as SIP is concerned?

On this subject.. anyone recommend a great SIP trunking provider that can service globally?

The Session Manager is facing an SBCe (Adtran) of the provider. An Avaya SBC was in the solution at the beginning but I did not able to make this working with the VLT SBCe back to back, so I configure the SMGR to communicate directly with provider SBC.

As you say, I can ask provider to manipulate the header or I will try to put back the Avaya SBC between Custumer (SMGR) and the provider SBC..? And try, and try, and try.... to make this working.

The provider we working with is not devconnect, so we will stay on the PRI till the Dev cert..

I don't have to spend my time for them..

Thanks

Let you know what happen then.
