Outbound Front-End Servers

• Exchange2003/Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition back-end cluster
• 2 – Exchange 2003 front-end servers
• Inbound Internet e-mail traffic is load balanced between the 2 front-end servers via a NetScaler hardware load balancer

We have a SMTP connector installed on each front-end server. The cost of both connectors is 1. Only one of the SMTP connectors on the front-end server is routing outbound traffic. Even if I turn off the one routing traffic, the second front-end server does not route outbound traffic.

How do you load balance outbound Internet e-mail traffic?
