Hello

We're using a cisco VG200 as our office gateway (trunk->pri) for voice calls. And, we have cisco call managers 3.3(3) for our pbx. The vg200 is setup as an h323 gateway in the ccm, so all configuration for the gateway is done through the console of the gateway itself.

Here's my deal.. I'm trying to get our outbound caller id to work properly. Inbound works like a champ. I've configured our default Route List in the CCM: Calling Party Transfom Mask to 555323XXXX. When a call goes out, i can watch them on the gateway with the show call active voice brief and it shows:

Call from 5553230101 on the gateway going to 5152220202. So i know the mask is getting to gateway just fine! But, when i call an outside number with CLID enabled, like my cell phone, it keeps coming up unavailable!

I've look through that gateway a hundred times trying to find a way to forward that mask, but i can't find anything. Anyone got any ideas?

I had the same problem, and my resolution turned out to be a configuration issue in CallManager. On the gateway configuration screen there are options towards the bottom called "Called party IE number type unknown", "Calling party IE number type unknown", "Called Numbering Plan" and "Calling Numbering Plan" in the Outbound Calls section. On my config they were set to "Cisco CallManager", after changing them to "National" and "ISDN" and resetting the gateway the CallerID worked perfectly! If the receiving system does not recogonize the calling plan it may decide to not trust the caller id information and discard it. Hopefully this helps in your situation as well.

Excellent! I'll give it a try.

Which ones did you set National and which ones ISDN?

Looks like:
Called party IE number type*
Calling party IE number type*
those two don't have ISDN, but
Called Numbering Plan*
Calling Numbering Plan*
have ISDN and National Standard as options.

I'll play with those, but it'd be nice to see what you have exactly.

Thanks!

That worked perfect!! Thanks!
