I am trying to create a summary table from a table in Access that is 5,000,000 records and uses 800,000,000 of disk space.

When I run the make table query, I get an 'out of temporary disk space' error message.

Is there a way to increase my temporary disk space to successfully complete the build?

You may try to do it in another mdb with linked table.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Another suggestion.

Don't use a make table query and a data load all at once.

1. Create a query on source table. Make it so the results of the query show 1 record.
2. Change that SQL string into a Make table query
3. Run it
4. Delete that 1 record
5. Create an append query from source to new table.

Just a thought.
