I have Exchage 5.5 on NT server and client is Outlook 2000 on Xp sp2.
FOr only one user the out of office autoreply doesn't work, it works when we send email internally(within our domain) but it deosn't work when user gets an email from external senders.
I have tried using the mdbvu32.exe but it didn't help.
Any idea?

Thanks

In IMS (Internet Mail Service) properties go to Advanced Options - uncheck "Disable Out of The Office responses to the Internet", click OK and restart IMS.

Do you really want to do that? Now every spammer out ther will get the oof when harvesting email addresses. When I'm on vacation and when I'll be returning, the names and phone nubers of my colleagues and management, etc. is information I'd personally rather not have dispersed to every spammer and would be identity thief on the internet. Besides, it very annoying whin the L-user is subscibed to a half dozen distribution lists with oofs to the internet turned on.

Thanks for the heads up. I have spam server taking care of spams but still something to consider.
