On one of my clents machines I cannot get into Out of Office assistant. I can get into it in other machines and on this computer the name resolves without any problem. Because the client has put an out of office message in it appears that the server is holding her mail and not sending it. Can anyone help
Dave

Well, it appears to be that you probably have something else going on if the server is "holding the mail." The out of office assistant doesn't hold the mail. For you to get into the out of office assistant, log onto that person's account using OWA, (Outlook Web Access). Then you can go to options and then turn off the out of office assistant.

Also, to fix the out of office problem you're having in Outlook, it's a simple one: reinstall the Microsoft Office.

Yep your right, I can log onto her account as admin but she does not have permission to access her mailbox for some reason. I still have not found out where I can check the permissions. Thanks

i had this issue too, but try going into user manager for domain, click on 'policies' on menu, goto 'user rights', go to 'log on locally' in pull down menu and add either the user or group. now when she tries to log on through web, it will allow her to locally log on to exchange.

It is just through outlook that I am trying to get her logged om. I have checked the permissions on her mailbox and it is the same as everyone else's. I have had to reinstall tcp/ip before now if the name would not resolve but the name is resolving OK. Any further ideas would be appreciated.
