Hey,

This has been a recurring problem for me. I have a very small relation database in Access 2000 with 4 tables, a form for each and a few queries. I keep getting 'Out of memory' messages when adding and editing records, and when I get this message the screen and computer generally go all screwy, with bits of Access flickering, pink boxes appearing, the message and the Office assistant disappearing, and other programs closing with strange DLL errors (with screwy dialog boxes of course).

The first time I encountered this I had put in under 5 records to a table via a form. it kept reoccuring even after restarts. I compacted and repaired and the problem came back soon afterwards. A few weeks later I was entering about 5 more records and I had no problems... :S

It happened again when I was running the switchboard that I had added. It ran fine the first couple of times, but after I put on all the buttons I needed, arranged them properlly and ran it, I got the same 'Out of memory' message and associated screwiness.

I then transferred the file to another machine, and sure enough when I edited some records that were in a different table (after adding a couple) it did it again.

Compact and repair gave a similar error this time too (I haven't tried it since i rebooted though).

Can somebody PLEASE help me with this! This error is really getting in my wa and I have no idea why it's doing it! I have 256MB of RAM, the tables have 5-10 records in them and the error still pops up on machines other than this one! Help! :'(

Try creating a new database and import all your objects into it and see if you still get errors
