Good afternoon,
Part 1:
I'd like to create a new OU in my AD which I could delegate control to another user. Here's the stipulation. I only want contact entries placed there and I don't want them to be able to do everything else.
I was advised by somebody to check out ADSI Edit for this. Any other pointers in the right direction on how to accomplish this?
Part 2: this may belong in the exchange 2003 forum
Assuming part 1 above, I need to segregate the contacts from my internal user address book. Thoughts on how to do this?
End Goal:
We want to have a company wide list of external contacts with address, fax, address info etc and have one user edit them. We also want to be able to easily find them in Outlook. Our current solution, not well liked, is an access database and copy and paste. I tried importing the contact information into a public folder and linking to that in an address list for e-mail but I can't get the addres slist to show em contacts with e-mail only (although if somebody would be willing to help me with the LDAP query that the address list uses that would work out as well also.
