Hello All:

I have created an OU & would like to move servers into it.
I guess the inquiry here is vague but what will be ramification of moving Domain Controllers into this newly created OU?

Also, I have two books used for reference concerning Windows 2000 server. Both mentioned that when the Delegation Wizard is run from the Action menu of MMC>Select the user or group> then it goes on to say "Once you've done this, the wizard displays the Active Directory Object Type screen that you use to specify which types of objects in the container the selected users/groups should be able to control". This is a window that has two options; first is "Entire Folder" & second one is "Objects in Folder". However, I never get to see this window. Right after selecting user, It goes directly into a tasks to Delegate screen with two options: "Delegate the following Common Taks" & "Create a Custom Task to Delegate".

ANy idea anyone>? is it because I'm in mixed -mode?

Thanks for your help!

Angelo

Just curious, why would you want to move your DC's out of the Domain Controllers OU?
As for your second question, those screens only appear when you start the Delegation Wizard from folders that are not OU's.....

By suggesting to mode servers to another Ou, i was just suggesting that as an option. I'd like to delegate control to a sec. admin to manage shares, etc.

Thanks, I will see if I get that on the folders.

Thanks again!
