Using Traffic & Console Reports on OTM for the first time, however the date formats are exceedingly frustrating.
OTM Filters editor uses a date format MMMMDDD which Google reports as a Julian type format, however this is difficult to work in.
What's the easiest way to insert dates into this format, do we really have to count the day of year for this.
Can someone give an example of how a standard date MM/dd/yy etc. should look.

They are not Julian dates. The date format is MMDD. The year information does not come with the data from the switch.

But if I put in format MMDD e.g. 0728 then I still get all the data?
However if I leave the date blank, then I still get all data which includes 2006/07/28 in the report?
If I specify from 0724 to 0728 to be included/excluded I get no difference in the outputted report?
The filters seem to have no effect on the report that I can see?

You need to create the appropriate filter and then apply that filter when you create the report. They usually do work. Perhaps you don't have the raw data that you are looking for. You may want to confirm that there is a traffic sample in the traffic database that includes the dates/times that you are looking for.

Another caution, if you have had your OTM for more than a year, since a year does not get appended to the date and time collected, if you have data from 2005 for 7/28 and 2006 for 7/28, it will combine the data. You need to purge and archive before the new year comes around.

Found something different on my OTM to another Sites' OTM
On Mine: Format is MMMMDDD
On Other: Format is MM/DD
Will confirm regional settings identical, but strange that it does this.

I have never seen a MMMMDDD format on any OTM, something is very strange. I don't believe it has anything to do with the regional settings on the server/PC it is running on. Perhaps a reinstallation of the software might fix the problem. That is what I would try first.
