OTM TBS Com port problem

I have a OTM 2.1 running on Win2K and if a reboot is done on the server then window hardware demon tries to configure a modem driver to the external US Robotics modem connected to Com 1. Telecom Billing is using com 1 to communicate to the US Robotics modem for CDR collection from mdr2000's. If the hardware demon runs and a US Rob. modem is selected for com 1 then OTM TBS will error out when a collection is started stating it can't communicate or open com 1.

Do you have any idea what driver will work on com 1 to allow a reboot of the server without having to tell windows not to load a driver. The causes trouble with the customer because they usually forget that TBS doesn't like it that way and I end up with trouble tickets.

try to install the driver but then disable that device in the device manager.
