Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I went on vacation and now my OTM is all screwed up by the tech that was on site. Would it be easier to do a disaster recovery on the OTM or something different? Let me know, thanks.
At what extreme is your OTM 'all screwed up'? Are you not able to log in, or are you not able to talk to the switch? The OTM has many abilities, are ALL hampered.. or just 1 or 2?
There are records in station admin and in the name display that are out of sync with the switch. Mostly they are in station admin. Like someone tried to move them and they didn't get moved so they are showing on two TN's in OTM. Does that make better sense?
Before you get too carried away, look in the switch to see what is really there and correct your OTM data base as needed. You may have to do a little searching, or as a drastic measure (not recommended) Do a global update and change SYNC Status for everything to NEW then go edit and delete. Then do a retrieve all then what is really on your switch will match up to your OTM, then you may have to sort out the "LOCATION" information.
The quickest way to get through this is to shut down OTM, go into Windows Explorer, find the Nortel Folder, Site then System, and find the Station Admin folder and delete it; you can then do a "retrieve all" and you will be current. This will wipe out any templates you have built, but it is a quick day to resync with the switch.
