My cust is getting the following error when using OTM. Any lads have an ideas on what will fix it?

Error message when attempting to use costings in OTM
error code code 3201 tying to write a cost record to the cost table, dao error is 'you can't change a record or add a record because a related record is required in table cdr'
No atom name
Restarted otm and no difference

Cheers

OTM software release and PEP level? I haven't seen that error around for a while.

Not too sure of software level and pep level however this was working fine until the customer had used windows update...

The customer has tried a rollback but no use... Any ideas on how to solve or is it a reinstallation losing all billing info?

Cheers

OK, that explains it further.

Really need the OS, Service Pack level and software level. Different releases of the software work are only going to work on specific OS and service pack levels.

I would try doing a complete OTM backup to see if it will even do it, then get the Operating system, service pack level to what is supported for that release of the software.

For example 1.2 cannot run with Service Pack 4 of Windows 2000. So all of that information is needed. If you can get an OTM backup, they may need to reformat the hard drive, reload the OS and service packs (to the level supported) then reload OTM, and restore from the backup.

If you can't do that........the next try would be to move Nortel/Common Data somewhere, do the same thing with the OS and service packs, and see if you can move commmon data back after you re-install OTM.

Then, no more updates, hotfixes, or anything unless it is confirmed that their software level will work on those releases.

How exactly do you do a backup on OTM?

In the meantime I will try to find out the rls of the otm.

Cheers

Under the main OTM Naviator Window, Utilities, there is a backup and restore utilities. It will create a zip file. Hopefully, it will still do this. You can try it.

Complete OTM backup will backup all the TBS (telecom billing system) data. The only thing that has to be rebuilt will be the scheduler and any report filters in the Telecom Billing System.

If you are on Release 2.0, and you are running 2000, you can only be on Service Pack 3. Release 2.2 will run on Service Pack 4.

The TBSGBFLTD.MDB file in the Site/System folder(s) holds all the TBS filter info. You can save them and copy them back.
