OST to PST

Is there a free or Cheap way to convert an OST file to a PST file on a laptop as account was deleted and now were trying to recover it.

If the outlook version is 2002 or prior, ost2pst (

will do it. You used to be able to email them, support@thomasitsolutions.com for OL2K3 ost to pst conversion.

Have you deleted the laptop's MAPI profile?

If not, just start up the laptop in offline mode, add a PST to the profile, then copy the contents of all the folders to the PST.

There is a program out there called ost2pst.exe You can download it free from the web.
Ontrack Power Controls will work too, as well as mail recovery.

ost2pst.exe doesn't work on 2003.

I no longer have the laptop but I still need to recover the OST to PST
