OS9 quark4 in OSX bugs

I am currently running an emulated 0S9 Quark in OSX. To create a pdf I am printing to a postscript file then ditilling manualy. Distiller is very unstable. I am wondering who is the culprit, Quark, Distiller or OS conflict and is there a better solution. I hear there is a direct pdf export utility for 4 will this help?

Which version of Distiller is it?
Try reinstalling Distiller and/or Quark.

Do you get instability in other apps?
