OS upgrade from 51 to 5.3 with firmware upgrade

SF240_332 is power5 firmware, you have a power4 machine.
Go here:
Select your system, 7038-6M2, download Version 3K080425 and read the 'Desc' file as well, and then install the firmware after taking account of the warnings, etc..
You should also update all the device and adapter microcode, available from the same link, before you install AIX 5.3.
On your AIX install CD you should then run the premigration script, before you upgrade, to check for other possible problems.
