I have a Toshiba Satelite Laptop, running XP pro. It's a relatively new computer and all the service packs are up to date.

It randomly freezes. Every once in a while it will reboot spontaneously, but more often than not it just freezes and I have to push the power button 5 seconds to get the thing to shut down so I can restart. I've done a bazillion adware, spyware and virus scans and not come up with anything.

Thanks in advance!!

Er... um... nevermind.
Did another search and found a bunch of similar posts. I blew out the heating foils in the back of the laptop and whammo.. i can hear the fan again. Heat related lockups and shutdown.

Also sounds like a faulty RAM module to me.
