Orienation of slides in PowerPoint

Is there anyway that you can manipulate the orientation(portrait/landscape) of each individual slide rather than all the sildes change together. Some of the slides need to portrait and others landscape. Help Me Obi Wan Kenobi, You're My Only Hope.
 
I hate saying this but "NO".

Microsoft identifies this as a shortcoming but there are work-arounds. You can have two separate slideshows that are linked together through hyperlinks and each could have their own orientations.

Sorry for the letdown.
 
Even though it is bad news, at least I've got an answer and that's half the battle.
