This may be a tall order, but I thought I'd toss it out there...

What I want to do is manage email sent and received 'by project'. Meaning:

- Mail from bob@domain1.com will automatically go to ProjectFolder1\Received once I read it.
- Mail from sue@domain2.com will automatically go to ProjectFolder2\Received once I read it.
- Mail I send to bob@domain1.com will automatically go to ProjectFolder1\Sent once I send it... Etc.

So that ultimately, when a project closes, project folders can be sent to PST and archived with all other project data.

The above is the easy part and can be handled through the Rules Wizard - although managing more than a few project becomes cumbersome. The truly hard part is when Bob is part of Project1 AND Project 2. Or Sue is part of Project2 and Project 3 and I send an email to Bob and Sue.

I'm resigned to the fact that I might have to manually move incoming mail to a project folder. So I guess what I'm looking for is a way to automatically assign some kind of filter tag to email I REPLY to based on the folder the email originated from AND a way to automatically assign a tag to email I originate. And finally, a way to easily manage a "tag list" that can be updated as new projects start and old projects end.

Like I said, this is a tall order - but I'm fishing for any ideas or possibly third party software that might handle this for me.

thanks for any help!
