Organize Favorites - Getting rid of the "links" folder

Start > Find > Files or Folders , type into the top line each name ( 1 at a time ) & press Enter .
Right click on each file & in the pop up menu , click on delete .
Start > Run , type in regedit & press Enter .
Press f3 & type in a name ( as per above ) & press f3 .
Again right click & delete , keep repeating using f3 until all entries are gone .
You may want to backup anything you want to delete .

You can't do this without some sort of registry tweak...
