Looking to take the next step with Access and I see the O'Reilly has two books on it: Access Cookbook and Access Database Design and Programming.

Does anyone on here have these and can they say what they liked or didn't like with either one of these books?

thanks

-Chris

Not really an answer to your question, but probably the best Access book is Access 97 Developer's Handbook by Litwin, Getz and Gilbert (SYBEX). There is a version for 2000 also. This is not just my opinion but a lot of others have agreed... Terry

I would agree. Our office has both the Access 97 and Access 2000 editions of the Sybex books by Litwin, et al. They serve as our primary resource.

I have the basics down with Access here, but I am ready and trying to get to the next level: Advanced queries, reports, forms and using VBA and VB to make more advanced and better databases.

I'm just trying to find the books/classes that will help me do this.

thanks

-Chris
