Okay, I know there is a difference between the Floppy IDE cable and a Normal Harddrive IDE cable. I bought a full tower case and need an extra long Flobby cable. The floppy port is at the very top of the case. I have looked at places that sell two and three feet IDE cables. Now, will a normal IDE cable work on a floppy? I always thought there were two wires swapped on a floppy cable. Please help me. And recommend any places that I can buy one from.

IDE and floppy are two different animals. IDE =40 conductor.Floppy=34 conductor.
Try a web search for JDR Microdevices, Jade Computer, or at worst, go to your friendly computer repair place and have them make up an extension or build one from scratch. Ed Fair
