Is there a way to get CR to chart group data (ascending / descending / specified order) regardless of the order of groups in the report. ie if you want to create multiple group charts each in ascending order...... how does one achieve this?

Am considering using Access reporting and excel rather than CR but would like to realise the full potential Crystal reporting over this alternative. Please help!

As a second question? Are MS Access reports better for certain situations, or once learned thoroughly is Crystal better as an all prupose reporting tool!

Thanks in Advance :) !

If you use Advanced or Detailed charts instead of Group charts, you can have the chart use an order or even a field that does not rely on reports grouping order. This is best in V8.

I haven't found many things that MS Access can do with a report that CR can't. I like Crystal's features more than MS Access. Ken Hamady

They are called DETAIL charts in V6, and don't allow you to use TopN or Specified order unless it matches the chart groups. Ken Hamady
