Oracle Reports ? Happy ?

Hi All,
Am trying to make the "Best Case" for putting in Oracle Reports (connect to 8i) and wanted to know if users are happy with development and performance. We are trying to offload our A2k - 8i reporting and make it more streamlined.
Really hear very little about this product from anyone (even Oracle).

Is there any other reporting/web connectivity tool which is dominant in the Oracle world we should be using ?

We us forms/reports 6i with our financials 11i release. We also use reports on our legacy systems. No problems. Feel it is a good product

Have heard that Oracle is now selling the forms/reports under the Application Server family of products and we are looking at what we can do with this vs the MS world of products. They say the 10g version is much easier to install, however at $400 a user seat there is a lot of it is not an easy product to convince management to move forward with.

to be honest i would not go to 10g. as a rule of thumb i would never to to oracle's 1st release due to bugs etc.
