I just received the "Oracle Critical Patch Update - April 2007" today

I have a stupid question about what version are affected

for example:

DB13 , does it means only 9.2.0.7 and 9.0.1.5 are affected ?
if my oracel version is 9.2.0.6 , then it's not affected ?

or , it means 9.2.0.1~~9.2.0.7 are all affected ??

Hello,

The column header in the risk matrix reads:
Last Affected Patch set (per Supported Release)

So this means:
If your release is 9.2, and less than or equal to 9.2.0.7 (e.g. 9.2.0.6), then you are affected.
You would not be affected, if you were on 9.2.0.8.

regards

Please take a look at Metalink note 420061.1, which lists the availability of the April CPU on various platforms. As a general rule the patch is available for 9.2.0.7, 9.2.0.8, 10.1.0.4, 10.1.0.5, 10.2.0.2 and 10.2.0.3. It is also available on a few platforms for 9.2.0.5 and 10.2.0.1.

If you are on other versions of Oracle, it doesn't mean you are unaffected. More than likely the security vulnerabilities fixed in the patch affect your version of Oracle as well. What it does mean is that Oracle has stopped providing support for your release. You should look seriously at applying the latest patch set so that you can get current on the latest security fixes.
