Oracle client 9.2 upgrade

I got an excisting Citrix farm. One of the applications that run on the farm is Super Office.
This applications is being upgraded, and it need to run on Oracle 9.2 client instead of the excisting oracle client 8.1

But my data store is on a oracle database, and what happens if i upgrade my Oracle client to 9.2, will I still be able to communicate with the datastore........?

Well....Don´t try just to put a new Oracle client on top... I got to reinstall that server.
