oracle 9i installation problem on sun solaris 9

Hi,
I am trying to install oracle 9i on sun solaris ultra 5 os 9.
Every thing went ok except when it tries to create the database. When it reaches to 81% a failure message opens without any information. When I click ok the installation stops.
It deoes configure linstener and apache server. I checked the listner and is up and running.
I checked the semaphores in /etc/system and they are properly configured.
Please help.

Are you sure that you have no other Oracle software running there? Try to stop it before installing a new one.

Try copying the contents of the install CDs to directories on your machine called Disk1, Disk2 etc, then run the installer from there.

That is the way I am doing it. I have copied the disk1, disk2 and disk3. Software is linked. When it comes to create the instance it fails there and surprisingly it does not show any messages. At this point I can see all the background processes but as soon as I click ok on that popup menu all the background processes dies and the installation fails.
How do I check the semaphore loaded? I tried ipcs -s but it does not show anything. Is there anyother way?

These or similar values(see Oracle 9.x Installation guide) must be added at end of your /etc/system file - a reboot is required to activate.

Found the problem. I reinstalled the os. After that the oracle installation was completed successfully.
