Oracle 9i/8i Comparison - Training + Exams

This may not be the most appropriate forum for this question; if it's not please excuse me.

We're currently using Oracle Release 8.1.7.0.0, and were looking into getting some Oracle Certified training, but Oracle have retired the 8i exams now - is 9i comparable?

Yes, but they have added new features. You may wish to look into 9i as the support for 8i has been discontinued. There is a book from Oracle Press that tells exactly what the new features are.
