Oracle 8i with RedHat 8.0

I am trying to install Oracle 8.1.7 in Linux Red Hat 8.0. After I installed Oracle I hade to upgrade the “jre” files to use “Netca” and “Dbassist”. But when I started to create the database I get the error 03113.
This is the first time that I install Oracle into Linux. I’d like to you what are the steps to take to install Oracle into RedHat 8.0.

Did you start Oracle daemons before you do the create database. Too bad I.T. is not cash business
